Pot Information

Our pots are hand crafted from dark heavy clay or a cement & fibre clay mix (terrazzo and riverstone finishes). Clay Pots are fired to extreme temperatures in traditional wood burning kilns which causes firing imperfections, along with colour and size variations making each pot truly individual. This does not effect the strength or integrity of the pot.

This process makes the pots FROST PROOF but all pots MUST be raised off the ground on pot feet (or something similar), along with 3 to 4 inches of drainage inside the bottom of the pot. These steps are vital in ensuring the potteries frost resistance, ensuring free drainage during cold winter weather and avoiding discolouring in the Terrazzo/Riverstone finishes. No pottery can be truly frost resisitant if these steps are not followed.

Water Feature Information

Whilst all our pots are frost resistant, all water features must be drained in cold weather, as the water must not be allowed to freeze within the pot as this will cause damage to the water feature.
